AS/400 iSeries System Administrator Location: Steven Points, WI Duration: 3-6 months contract to hire Remote with some Occasional Travel We are seeking a skilled AS/400 iSeries System Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems for our enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and performance of critical business applications. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and upgrade IBM i (AS/400/iSeries) operating systems, PTFs, and middleware. Monitor system performance using tools like IBM Navigator, WRKSYSSTS, and performance analyzers; troubleshoot hardware/software issues. Manage user profiles, authorities, backups (BRMS/SAV), and disaster recovery processes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 5+ years hands-on experience with IBM iSeries/AS/400 administration. Proficiency in IBM i OS, DB2/400, BRMS, PDM/SEU, and performance tuning. Strong knowledge of RPG IV, CL, and IBM Power Systems hardware.
