We are currently seeking a Construction Manager specializing in Electrical Plant Systems. The Electrical Construction Manager will provide full-time onsite leadership and oversight for complex electrical construction, renovation, and modernization projects in support of facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring all electrical work is executed safely, accurately, and in strict compliance with contract documents, project specifications, client standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local codes. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in electrical systems, strong field leadership, and proven experience managing mission-critical infrastructure in occupied and highly regulated environments. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field preferred. 10–15 years of progressive experience managing electrical construction projects, with a strong focus on infrastructure and modernization work. Demonstrated experience with medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, emergency power systems, and mission-critical facilities. Proven ability to manage electrical work in occupied facilities and highly regulated environments. Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, and federal construction requirements. Experience coordinating outages, phasing plans, and commissioning activities. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead field teams and interface effectively with multiple stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation, quality, and safety. Responsibilities and Duties Provide day-to-day onsite management of electrical construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including: Medium- and low-voltage power distribution Switchgear and switchboards Emergency and standby generators Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems Lighting and lighting control systems Grounding and bonding systems Raceway, conduit, cable tray, and cabling infrastructure Coordinate daily field operations with general contractors, electrical subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades. Enforce project safety plans and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, client safety requirements, and site-specific safety protocols. Perform quality control inspections of installed electrical work to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes. Manage work in occupied and operational facilities, including outage planning, shutdown coordination, and phased construction sequencing. Interface closely with design engineers, commissioning agents, utility providers, facility operators, and government stakeholders. Review and resolve technical issues, RFIs, field conflicts, and constructability challenges in a timely manner. Support commissioning activities, functional testing, and system turnover documentation. Maintain detailed field documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, deficiency tracking, and progress updates. Assist with schedule coordination, milestone tracking, and closeout activities, including as-built documentation and final acceptance. Salary commensurate with experience.
