This machine operator role requires hands on experience working with PCB assembly equipment, including wave soldering, selective soldering and SMT machines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to perform accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Job Description: Wave Solder & Selective Soldering Operations • Set up, operate, and monitor wave solder and selective solder machines. • Adjust machine parameters to ensure optimal solder flow, proper wetting, and high-quality solder joints. • Perform routine maintenance activities, including solder pot checks and nozzle cleaning. • Inspect solder joints to IPC standards and correct defects when necessary. • Document process parameters and maintain consistent soldering quality throughout production runs. • Experience with Soho Wave Soldering Machines and Kurtz Ersa Selective Soldering Machines is a plus. SMT Operation: • Set up and operate SMT pick-and-place machines for PCB assembly. • Load feeders, verify component values, and perform efficient line changeovers. • Conduct first-article inspections and ensure accurate component placement before production runs. • Troubleshoot basic machine errors and make necessary adjustments to minimize downtime. • Maintain proper documentation and follow quality and safety standards throughout the SMT process. • Equipment: Experience with Fuji SMT machine is a strong advantage. Job Requirements: General Requirements • Read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). • Maintain accurate production logs, inspection records, and other quality documentation. • Follow all ESD control procedures, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards. • Collaborate effectively with technicians, engineers, and quality team members. • Demonstrate reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to producing high-quality assemblies. Qualification Requirements • 3-5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly operations. • Hands-on experience operating SMT, wave solder, or selective solder equipment. • Ability to identify soldering defects, perform basic rework, and ensure compliance with quality standards. • Understanding of IPC-A-610 or similar industry standards (preferred) • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently. • Basic computer skills for machine interface and documentation systems.
