We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead a team focused on expanding industrial sales initiatives. This intermediate-level role requires strong leadership in team performance management, with a strategic emphasis on driving growth across key markets. The Sales Manager will also serve as a critical liaison between Sales, Finance, and Marketing departments—ensuring alignment, resource optimization, and seamless execution of cross-functional strategies. Ideal candidates will bring a blend of analytical rigor, motivational leadership, and collaborative finesse to protect and grow a $12M revenue base while nurturing core-customer relationships. In this role you will: • Facilitate ongoing internal and external training aligned with strategic supplier partners. • Mentor and coach team members to improve performance, product knowledge, and customer engagement. • Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning sessions. • Field and resolve customer and supplier escalations with professionalism and urgency. • Act as a liaison between sales, finance, and marketing to ensure alignment and timely support. • Monitor and manage sales pipeline health across assigned markets and initiatives. • Prepare and deliver quarterly and annual sales presentations to executive leadership. • Participate in joint planning sessions with marketing to design and execute targeted campaigns. • Contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes in collaboration with finance. • Facilitate the administration and optimization of the sales incentive plan. • Ensure proper staffing and resource allocation to support market coverage and growth goals. • Identify gaps in coverage or capability and recommend strategic hires or training interventions. • Champion interdepartmental coordination to support sales initiatives and resolve bottlenecks. • Align sales strategies with broader business objectives and supplier partnership goals. • Represent the sales team in cross-functional meetings and strategic planning forums. What you bring to the table: • Minimum five years experience managing sales teams, ideally with 5-6 direct reports or equivalent with a proven track record of coaching, developing and retaining high performing teams. • Comfortable with managing team members both locally and remotely by use of digital tools requiring voice, video & screensharing. • 4-year degree preferred, Master’s or Post-Graduate education preferred but not mandatory • Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry and supply chain management principles • Experience managing sales incentive plans and performance metrics. • Familiarity with selling industrial valves, filters, instrumentation or engineered systems in a business-to-business environment, or experience working with manufacturers or distributors in technical sales environments. • Skilled in sales planning and reporting tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.). • Strong communication and presentation skills for executive-level reporting. • Ability to translate complex product specifications into customer value propositions. • Comfortable with handling customer/supplier escalations and resolving customer disputes while upholding company policies or procedures. Compensation Details: The expected range of pay for this position is $100,000 - $135,000 annually, based on experience.
