Full Description

Position Summary The Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing the procurement and logistics operations that support Pro Facade’s fabrication and installation projects. This role ensures that all materials—aluminum, hardware, glass accessories, fasteners, equipment, and consumables—are sourced at the best cost and delivered on time to align with project schedules. The position works directly with Project Managers, Production, Warehouse, Accounting, and installers to maintain continuous workflow and avoid delays in the field or fabrication line. Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing (Project-Driven Procurement) • Manage the full purchasing cycle for project materials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project budgets, take-offs, and fabrication schedules. • Source and order materials such as aluminum profiles, sheets, fasteners, sealants, hardware, tools, and installation supplies. • Coordinate closely with Project Managers to ensure all purchases match submittals, shop drawings, and approved specifications. • Maintain communication with vendors to confirm lead times, backorders, order status, and delivery dates critical to each project. • Negotiate pricing, volume discounts, delivery terms, and contract conditions while maintaining quality standards. • Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List, evaluating supplier performance and reliability. • Track project spending and provide cost updates to PMs and Accounting as needed. Logistics & Inventory Coordination • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics for all project-related materials, ensuring timely delivery to the warehouse or job sites. • Coordinate transportation, freight, LTL shipments, and job-site deliveries according to project priorities. • Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and available for fabrication or installation. • Ensure clear communication to Production and Project Managers regarding incoming shipments and potential delays. • Manage returns, damaged materials, freight claims, and delivery discrepancies. Project Support • Support Project Managers with material availability information, delivery timelines, and logistics planning for each project. • Prioritize purchasing and logistics tasks based on project deadlines, fabrication releases, and installation schedules. • Coordinate urgent orders for fast-track items or special project needs. • Assist in preparing documentation for inspections, compliance, and project closeout when material-related information is required. Supplier & Documentation Management • Maintain organized digital records of POs, packing lists, BOLs, invoices, and delivery receipts for each project. • Ensure vendor compliance, including COIs when working with subcontracted logistics services. • Collaborate with Accounting to reconcile invoices, address discrepancies, and verify materials received before payment. • Generate weekly purchasing and logistics status reports for management and project teams. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain—preferably in construction, metal fabrication, or project-based environments. • Strong understanding of materials used in façade systems, metal fabrication, or construction projects (preferred). • Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills. • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Odoo or similar preferred). • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines. • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
