Role Overview: As a Polysomnography Techno Advanced at the Greenville Sleep Center, you will perform essential sleep studies and testing procedures to diagnose and treat sleep disorders. Your role is critical in ensuring accurate data collection and patient comfort during overnight sleep studies. What You'll Do: - You will perform basic and advanced polysomnographic testing procedures including setting up and initiating sleep-related therapies. - You will conduct home sleep testing, actigraphy, and utilize other remote study technologies. - You will monitor patients overnight, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the study. - You will accurately record and analyze sleep data to assist physicians in diagnosis. - You will maintain and calibrate sleep study equipment to ensure optimal performance. - You will educate patients about sleep study procedures and therapy compliance. - You will collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will adhere to all regulatory and safety standards related to sleep studies. What You Bring: - You have at least 2 years of experience in polysomnography or sleep technology. - You hold a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or equivalent. - You possess strong knowledge of sleep disorders and related therapies. - You have excellent patient care and communication skills. - You are proficient in operating polysomnographic and remote monitoring equipment. - You demonstrate attention to detail and strong analytical abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with home sleep testing and actigraphy technologies. - Additional certifications such as Certified Sleep Technologist (CST). - Experience working in a hospital or clinical sleep center setting. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
