JOB TITLE: Bindery Production Assistant (Fort Worth) A privately owned commercial printing company in business for over 30 years is looking to add to our bindery department. The candidate will operate small bindery equipment, and complete projects by hand. All while meeting the quality expectations of our clients and maintaining daily production to meet specified delivery dates. Compensation: hourly based on experience, Work Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Mon-Fri. Primary Duties and Responsibilities These are functions a qualified candidate must be able to perform Operate a business card slitter Operate a creasing machine Chipboard, stack, and glue pad orders Operate a shrink-wrap machine Coil bind books Finish orders by way of counting, weighing, wrapping, boxing, labeling Perform quality checks on finished orders and alert management of issues Maintain functionality and cleanliness of equipment, work area, and supplies Job Requirements, Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions Previous experience with a printing company is preferred The minimum education required is a High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to perform mechanical detail work with speed, accuracy, and manual dexterity The environment is a printing and manufacturing environment Exposure to dust, vapors, and loud noise Requires frequent bending, standing, and walking throughout the shift. Requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Must be able to push, lift, and pull 40 lbs. repetitively during shift. Requires use of pallet jacks and carts to move product during shift.
