PRINCIPLE CHOICE SOLUTIONS Technical Writer POSITION PURPOSE The Technical Writer at Principle Choice Solutions is responsible for developing, writing, and editing proposals for contract bids. This role involves creating clear, compelling, and compliant proposals that effectively communicate the company's value proposition to potential clients. The Technical Writer collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure all proposals meet company standards and client requirements. ORGANIZATION This position reports to the Business Development Manager in the Business Development Department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, HR, IT, and operations staff to gather and validate information. • Ensure all documentation complies with company standards, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements. • Edit and revise existing documents to improve clarity, accuracy, and consistency. • Prepare and deliver comprehensive status reports to determine contract funding, backlog, and the accuracy of CLIN (Contract Line Item Number) spending. • Support proposal development efforts, including writing and editing competitive proposals and participating in team reviews. • Develop writing templates that adhere to internal and contractual requirements. • Write and/or tailor program management materials for proposal development efforts, including but not limited to staffing plans and training strategies. • May be called upon for other company writing assignments or business development duties and tasks as needed. • Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. • Project Management/Program Management experience preferred. • Working knowledge of word processing software, such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, preferred. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential data and situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. • Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and attention to detail along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within time-sensitive deadlines. • Adherence to the Company’s Mission and Core Values • Must be a U.S. citizen; work sponsorship is not available MACHINES & EQUIPMENT The applicant must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, telephone system, and other office machines such as a copier. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone. WORKING CONDITIONS The incumbent works in an office environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, or extreme noise. Routine periods of being on the phone utilizing a headset, sitting and data keying are required. Periodic times working at the office site may be required. Security and privacy training will be provided as part of this role to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PCS’ associate and customer data.
