Full Description

Job description: Business Strategy & Operations Analyst Location: Midtown Manhattan (In-Person) Compensation: $67,000 – $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience Reports to: Manager of Business Strategy About the Role We are seeking a Business Strategy & Operations Analyst to support high-priority strategic and operational initiatives within a growing, founder-led healthcare organization. This role sits at the intersection of strategy formulation and execution and is designed for an early-career professional with prior full-time corporate experience who is comfortable working in close partnership with senior leadership. This is a deliberately scoped, execution-focused strategy and operations role, not a data science, analytics engineering, or senior strategy position. The analyst will work closely with the Manager of Business Strategy and collaborate directly with the CEO on select leadership-driven initiatives. In a fast-moving environment, strategic priorities often require hands-on execution, follow-through, and coordination. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, exercises sound judgment, and enjoys translating leadership intent into concrete outcomes. This is not an entry-level position. The role requires maturity, discretion, and the ability to independently manage complex, time-sensitive workstreams that may evolve as business needs change. Key Responsibilities • Support strategic and operational initiatives across the organization, including analysis, reporting, and project execution • Translate leadership priorities into structured workstreams, timelines, trackers, and deliverables to ensure effective follow-through • Partner with the Manager of Business Strategy on cross-functional initiatives spanning operations, growth, systems, and organizational development • Coordinate and advance CEO-driven initiatives that are directly tied to business strategy and company growth • Support regulatory, operational, and market-expansion efforts, including coordination and tracking of medical licensure, approvals, and readiness for new market entry • Manage follow-through on complex, time-sensitive projects that require discretion, organization, and independent judgment • Prepare concise summaries, analyses, and updates to inform leadership decision-making • Serve as a connective tissue between leadership intent and operational execution across teams Minimum Qualifications (Required) • At least 2 years of full-time, post-graduation professional experience in business operations, strategy, analytics, consulting, finance, or a related corporate function (Internships, academic research roles, and part-time positions do not count toward this requirement) • "Corporate experience” means prior employment in a structured business, finance, consulting, technology, or professional services environment with defined roles, deadlines, and performance expectations. General office or administrative experience alone is not sufficient. • Demonstrated experience producing written or analytical deliverables for managers or senior stakeholders in a corporate setting. • This role is not intended to be a candidate’s first exposure to a professional business environment. Candidates seeking to transition into a business track without prior full-time corporate experience are unlikely to be a strong fit. • High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion when working on leadership-level initiatives • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets; comfort working with data and internal reporting • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, in-person professional environment with shifting priorities Preferred Qualifications • Experience in healthcare, professional services, or a regulated industry • Exposure to dashboards, reporting tools, CRM systems, or project management platforms • Prior experience supporting strategic initiatives or leadership-driven projects Who This Role Is For This role is best suited for someone who: • Is early in their professional career and seeking close exposure to business strategy and execution • Has 2–4 years of full-time corporate experience and is ready to take ownership of ambiguous, leadership-driven work • Enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, operations, and follow-through, not just analysis • Is comfortable translating leadership priorities into trackers, coordination, execution, and results • Values judgment, discretion, and reliability as much as analytical skill • Is looking for a longer-term growth role that can expand in scope as the organization scales • Is excited to work in person, in close partnership with a manager and senior leadership This role is intentionally designed as a generalist strategy-and-operations role, not a technical specialist position. Who This Role Is Not For This role is not a good fit for candidates who: • Are seeking a data scientist, data analyst, analytics engineer, or BI-focused role • Primarily want to build dashboards, pipelines, predictive models, or advanced statistical analyses • Have deep technical specialization and are looking for a role that centers on those skills • Are pursuing a senior strategy, consulting, or advisory trajectory • Expect to operate independently without close coordination with a manager • Are overqualified for an execution-focused, early-career role and would expect rapid title or compensation acceleration • Are seeking remote or hybrid work arrangements Candidates with advanced technical or analytical backgrounds who are looking for a specialist role are unlikely to find this position satisfying. Reporting & Structure This role reports to the Manager of Business Strategy and works closely with the CEO on select strategic initiatives, under the direction of the business strategy team. Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Commuter assistance • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Ability to Commute: • New York, NY 10017 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • New York, NY 10017: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person This role does not support current or future visa sponsorship. Does this align with what you are seeking? • This role requires a minimum of 2 years of full-time, post-graduation corporate experience in a structured business, finance, consulting, technology, or professional services environment. Part-time roles, internships, academic positions, family businesses, restaurants, and general office work do not meet this requirement. Do you meet this requirement? • If yes, please briefly describe your most relevant full-time corporate role (company, role, dates) and why this position is a good fit for you. • This role requires full-time, in-office work in New York City. Are you able to reliably commute to our Midtown Manhattan office five days per week?
