What You'll Do: As an Associate Director, you’ll help drive strategy and execution for a diverse mix of portfolios. The team focuses on the value-add and opportunistic end of the risk spectrum, spanning both closed-end fund strategies and separate account mandates. You’ll take a hands-on role in positioning these portfolios for long-term performance while partnering closely with senior leaders across acquisitions, development, asset management, finance, and client teams. Key areas of responsibility: • Strategy & Investment Decisions: Support portfolio strategy development and execution. Provide input on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, developments, and hold/sell decisions. • Client & Investor Engagement: Participate in client meetings, respond to portfolio-related inquiries, and support relationship-building, mandate expansion, and capital-raising efforts. • Portfolio Management: Manage assigned portfolios, monitor performance, conduct analysis, and recommend strategic adjustments. Partner across teams to ensure valuation accuracy and alignment with overall portfolio strategy. • Reporting & Analytics: Oversee the preparation and quality of client, consultant, and regulatory reporting. Deliver clear, concise commentary connecting performance to strategy and maintaining strong risk controls. • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and oversight to Associates and Analysts. Support onboarding, training, and ongoing knowledge-sharing across the team. • Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to new product development, process improvements, technology enhancements, and broader platform initiatives. Who You Are: • Bachelor’s degree required (finance, economics, business, or related field preferred); MBA or advanced degree a plus. • Minimum 6 years of commercial real estate investment or portfolio management experience. • Strong understanding of real estate finance, investment theory, and portfolio construction. • Comfortable investing across the real estate risk spectrum, from core and core-plus through value-add, opportunistic, and development strategies; closed-end fund experience a plus. • Proven analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting client and consultant relationships. • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. • Desire to mentor and serve as a role model to junior team members. • Willingness to travel. Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $141000 - $191000 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
