8+ years in communications strategy with excellent writing, verbal, analytical skills, and leadership experience, preferably in financial services.
What You'll Do: We’re looking for an Assistant Director – Communications to lead a team of communication professionals and drive strategic internal and external communications. In this highly visible role, you’ll partner across the business to deliver clear, engaging content that supports customer needs and empowers our internal teams. What You’ll Do Lead & Develop a Team • Build an inclusive, collaborative, high‑performing team. • Coach, develop, and manage performance, recognition, and hiring decisions. • Guide the team through change, including AI‑enabled communication tools. • Navigate a global, matrixed environment with confidence and clarity. Own Communication Strategy • Oversee integrated communication plans for internal and external audiences. • Ensure timely, engaging content for advisors, TPAs, plan sponsors, participants, and employees. • Translate complex operational topics into simple, effective communications. • Strengthen internal readiness with clear, actionable messaging. Who You Are: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with • 8+ years in communications strategy preferably with financial services / retirement industry internal audiences • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills. • Strong Excel capabilities and comfort using data to inform strategy. • Able to guide and influence partners across all levels. • Change‑ready, detail‑oriented, and skilled at crafting strategic, audience‑focused solutions. • Experience building business cases and evaluating ROI is a plus. Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $127000 - $150000 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
