Reporting to the President, this leader will serve as a trusted strategic and operational partner to the President and senior leadership team, advancing the College's priorities and amplifying its voice and presence across the community, region, and beyond. The Chief Administrative Officer will provide visionary leadership in Institutional Advancement, Government Relations and External Affairs, Governance, Executive Communications, and the Office of the President while aligning institutional resources with a bold new strategic plan. As a connector across high-impact initiatives, collaborations, and partnerships, this leader willplay a role in strengthening the College's visibility, influence, and long-term sustainability—ensuring Prince George's Community College continues to transform lives, fuel opportunity, andserve as a powerful engine for social and economic mobility in Maryland. The Opportunity The Chief Administrative Officer serves as a trusted executive partner to the President, providing strategic leadership and counsel across the institution. With expertise in institutional advancement, philanthropic engagement, external and government relations, executive communications, project management, and research, this leader strengthens the President's ability to advance the College's vision, priorities, and impact. The Chief Administrative Officer will provide comprehensive leadership and management to a small team in institutional advancement, government relations and community outreach, executive communications, board and governance, and the President's Office. In this highly visible role, the Chief Administrative Officer leads major initiatives, convenes key workgroups and committees, and oversees internal and external communications on behalf of the President. The position ensures alignment of presidential priorities across divisions, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and amplifies the College's mission through strategic messaging, coordinated outreach, and high-level stakeholder engagement. Minimum Qualifications: Education • An advanced degree in a field that is relevant to the responsibilities of the CAO role or equivalent experience is required (doctoral degree preferred).
