Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Category Specialist - IT Procurement for our client, a large and respected organization in the energy sector. This role is central to driving cost-effective, high-quality vendor partnerships that align with business objectives. You will work cross-functionally to lead sourcing strategies, evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and support IT procurement initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for IT products and services. • Identify and assess potential vendors, evaluating capabilities against business requirements. • Monitor IT market trends, vendor landscapes, and technological advancements to drive cost savings and efficiency. • Conduct comprehensive vendor evaluations, including financial stability, compliance, and service quality. • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define vendor selection criteria. • Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, including SLAs, pricing, warranties, and delivery timelines. • Ensure all contracts align with company policies, standards, and legal requirements. • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. • Facilitate vendor meetings to review performance, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvement. • Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and governance policies across sourcing activities. • Maintain documentation for contracts, agreements, and vendor performance metrics. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred. • Proven experience in IT strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation in a corporate environment. • Strong knowledge of IT procurement processes across hardware, software, cloud services, and professional services. • Demonstrated negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels. • Analytical and detail-oriented with a track record of data-driven decision making. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management tools. • Familiarity with procurement best practices and relevant regulatory requirements.
