Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II – Chemistry to support our client’s medical facility in Royal Oak, MI 48073. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist II – Chemistry Location: Royal Oak, MI 48073 Pay Range: $46-$56per hour Duration: 3 months+ Schedule: Monday–Friday with Rotational Weekends (40 hrs per week) Shifts Available: • 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Mon–Fri; Rotating Weekends) • 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Mon–Fri; Rotating Weekends) • The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.* Key Responsibilities: • Perform high-complexity laboratory testing and analysis within the Chemistry department. • Verify, interpret, and report laboratory test results with accuracy and efficiency. • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzers. • Adhere to all regulatory, quality-assurance, and safety standards (CLIA, CAP, OSHA). • Participate in proficiency testing, quality control, and instrument calibration. • Collaborate with technologists, medical staff, and laboratory leadership to support workflow. • Document and maintain accurate records of all testing procedures and outcomes. • Assist in training new team members and supporting laboratory projects as needed. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field required. • ASCP or equivalent certification preferred (or eligibility). • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical laboratory experience (Chemistry experience strongly preferred). • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and quality control principles. • Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and rotating schedules as assigned.
