Full Description

Preset is the preeminent commercial offering of Apache Superset™, the leading open-source data visualization and exploration platform. We’re a team of open-source contributors, community leaders, and product builders bringing modern BI to organizations everywhere. We’re looking for a Marketing & Community Operations Associate to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support a wide range of marketing and community initiatives, from conferences to content to newsletters. You’ll help us scale our presence, strengthen our voice, and make our marketing operations run smoothly. What You’ll Do: Content & Communications • Coordinate blog content: Edit internal posts, format case studies, and publish feature highlights. • Manage the “announcement conveyor belt” (product launches, newsletters, social media, partner updates, etc.). • Build and send newsletters via Mailchimp and manage lists in HubSpot. • Support ad creative development in collaboration with partners and agencies • Keep our website updated with fresh content and relevant resources. Event & Community Operations • Handle logistics for conferences, meetups, and webinars (travel, booths, swag, registration, follow-up). • Support speaker submission pipelines (calls for papers, abstracts, scheduling). • Manage webinar/demo setup, promotion, and outbound communications. • Help grow our social media presence with a consistent cadence and voice. General Marketing Support • Assist with agency/partner deliverables (website updates, ad creatives, creative production). • Coordinate production of merch and swag. • Maintain calendars and assist with logistical planning for events, announcements, and content. What we're looking for: Must-haves: • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, community, or event coordination (internships and contract work count). • Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail. • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines. • Interest in open source, developer tools, or technical communities. • Familiarity with tools such as Mailchimp, WordPress/CMS, Google Workspace, and social scheduling platforms. Nice-to-haves: • Experience with conference logistics or webinar production. • Exposure to SEO/SEM best practices. • Familiarity with developer audiences or technical content. • Experience with HubSpot workflows and automation • Experience with advertising campaign analytics and optimization • Bonus: design skills for creative assets (social graphics, slide decks, swag).
