Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities • Greets visitors and answers non-clinical questions. Directs questions when necessary. • Answers incoming calls and answers non-clinical questions. Routes calls when necessary. • Rings out prescription and OTC sales. • Ensures opening and closing till counts are accurate and compiles end of day cash deposits. • Manages mail-out prescriptions; verifies shipping info and collects credit card information from patient. • Calls or texts patients when prescriptions are ready for pick-up. • Pulls unsold prescriptions and sends reminders. • Ensures Pharmacist consultations on all new prescriptions. • Maintains patient signature log and HIPAA records; protects confidential and proprietary information. • Faxes refill requests to practitioners. • Maintains monthly seminar registration and RSVP lists. • Maintains lobby, restrooms, breakroom, dispensary, business office, front desk area and storage room. • Receives, organizes, inventories, and prices OTC orders. • Ensures OTC shelves remain stocked, faced, and free from expired products. • Refills and monitors pharmacy supplies and alerts PIC when supply stock is low. • Empties trash and DPI bins. • Creates and hangs signs for holiday hours. • Educates customers on OTC promotions, upcoming seminars, consultation services, and pet of the month. • Washes and dries lab equipment. Required Skills & Experience: • High School Diploma or GED • Advanced level PC skills experience • Strong attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Basic math and problem solving skills • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds Nice-to-Have Skills: • Technician in Training Registration through the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy is preferred, but not required • Knowledge of pharmacy operations • Familiarity with medical terminology • Experience in patient care or medication administration Join our team as a Pharmacy Clerk and be part of a dynamic work environment where you can enhance your customer service skills, support the local community, and contribute to the overall success of our pharmacy.
