Role Overview: The Accounting Clerk III plays a vital role within the Administrative Services Group by managing financial records, processing transactions, and supporting accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance. This position contributes to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization. What You'll Do: - You will process and verify financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expense reports. - You will maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation. - You will assist in preparing financial reports and reconciliations. - You will collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and support audit activities. - You will ensure compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards. - You will support month-end and year-end closing processes. - You will respond to inquiries related to financial transactions and records. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting team. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a nonprofit or faith-based organization. - Familiarity with fund accounting and grant management. - Certification in accounting or bookkeeping (e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent). - Experience with ERP systems or advanced financial software.
