About the Role PrePass has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of our applications and systems, including mobile and web-based solutions built with the latest Microsoft technologies (.NET, Visual Studio, MS SQL, MVC, WCF, Web API, and Azure). You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable products that meet business and customer needs. This is a hybrid role based out of our downtown Phoenix office. Essential Responsibilities Test Design & Execution Design, create, and maintain test scenarios, cases, scripts, and automated regression test suites using tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps or JIRA-Xray. Execute test cases across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and telematics systems, ensuring seamless functionality on various devices and form factors (phones, tablets, wearables). Conduct hands-on field testing to validate hardware and software integration, document detailed results, and perform data-driven analysis. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner with developers, product owners, and managers to identify, document, and resolve defects and performance issues. Integrate testing processes into Agile (SCRUM) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) workflows to ensure quality before launch. Contribute to the development of systematic approaches for maintaining high-quality services, improving test efficiency, and aligning processes with business objectives. Reporting & Quality Oversight Track and report issues, verify bug fixes, and ensure timely resolution through effective collaboration with development and QA teams. Analyze root causes of issues, recommend improvements, and verify changes prior to deployment. Maintain strong cross-functional relationships to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of experience in mobile software/application testing (Android/iOS), including at least 1 year in test automation. Strong knowledge of relational database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or SQLite. Solid understanding of the software testing life cycle, QA methodologies, and test planning processes. Experience analyzing software features and requirements to design, plan, and execute test cases. Proven experience in bug reporting, issue tracking, and verifying fixes, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and QA peers. Bonus Points For Experience with hardware testing and integration. Familiarity with mobile automation testing tools such as Appium. Basic coding knowledge in C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
