Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Parts Purchasing & Inventory Manager to manage procurement activities and oversee inventory levels within our operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing parts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring optimal inventory control to support production efficiency. Strong negotiation skills, are essential for success in this role. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to supply chain excellence and streamline procurement processes in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities • Manage procurement activities including sourcing, purchasing, and contract negotiation for parts and materials • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality parts while optimizing pricing and terms • Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, reorder points, and cycle counts to prevent shortages or excess stock • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to forecast needs based on production schedules and MRP data • Maintain supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance for continuous improvement • Develop and enforce procurement policies aligned with company standards and supply chain best practices • Monitor logistics, shipping schedules, and vendor contracts to ensure compliance and efficiency • Support supply chain management initiatives by analyzing procurement data and identifying cost-saving opportunities Requirements • Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Familiarity with MRP systems, sourcing strategies, and contract management processes • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish favorable terms with suppliers • Solid understanding of supply chain management principles including logistics, vendor management, and inventory control • Ability to analyze pricing data and optimize procurement costs • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities • Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and negotiating with vendors • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred This role is integral to maintaining efficient operations through strategic sourcing, effective inventory management, and supplier relationship oversight. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting manufacturing excellence through optimized procurement practices.
