Senior Portfolio Business Analyst What you will be doing: The Senior Portfolio Business Analyst (SPBA) within a specific product segment has a high degree of subject matter expertise and is the accountable liaison between product management and other support groups such as development and user experience. Ensuring delivery of features and functions as outlined in the acceptance criteria. Tasks required to fulfill job responsibilities include the ability to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, prioritize, author, and manage detailed requirement documents. These documents support the required workflow such as functional documents, stories, and sprint ready directions. This individual should possess superb communication and facilitation skills, and have experience working with cross-cultural, cross-matrix teams with proven success in delivering software solutions to market. SPBAs are expected to have a high degree of autonomy and have responsibility to ensure Product Management and required team members execute to create products and solutions that satisfy the needs of the business and vision. This individual will work in tight collaboration with the associated Technical Product Manager (TPM) or Technical Product Director (TPD) which is essential to ensuring complete execution and success of the product line. Key Responsibilities Responsibility #1– 35% Business Requirements Analysis • Works very tightly with stakeholders and UX personnel during requirements creation to ensure alignment of wireframes and UX designs meet business requirements and development constraints. • Works with customers, internal stakeholders, and SMEs to fully understand requirements, which enable accurate translation and prioritization of features and stories. • Accountable for the translation of high-level business requirements to actionable stories. • Incorporates and creates stories with detailed requirements, business rules, use cases, and acceptance criteria illustrating business needs in support of the business vision. • Strong advocate for cross-functional business development, requirement reuse across all product and business spectrum. • Works to gain commitment from stakeholders and team members. • Can negotiate with stakeholders under the guidance of the TPM or TPD. • Identify and communicate potential process improvements to the TPM or TPD. • Has achieved a high level of subject matter expertise. Responsibility #2 – 30% Product Development, QA & Testing • Lead effort to acquire estimates from development team • Works closely with QA team to ensure QA requirements and needs are met to allow detailed and thorough product testing can be accomplished. • Manages product backlog in coordination with TPM or TPD. • Responsible for managing development issues and ensuring the escalation of necessary issues to the TPM or TPD. • Maintain a good understanding of product vision to assure current stories are formulated in a manner to lay the most effective groundwork for future functionality. • Assists with coordinating successful completion of UAT. Responsibility #3 – 25% Knowledge Transfer • Delivers presentations and demos to executives and large audience meetings. • Acts as the point of collaboration to assure all members of the product team stay aligned, communicate effectively, and understand the current feature set, goal, and future vision. • Ensures proper documentation and effective knowledge transfer exists for all parties involved including development, quality assurance, marketing, product support, implementation, and education • Facilitates and conducts meetings and interactions of necessary support groups. • Be the user advocate on the development and product management teams. Responsibility #4 – 10% Data Analysis • Assess and validate integration/solutions and data integrity/quality • Create data mapping and data flow diagrams • Assess the impact of data and software changes on current and future business • Participate in data exploration and conceptual design for strategic initiatives Required Qualifications Work Experience: Years of Applicable Experience - 4 or more years Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required) Preferred Qualifications Skills: Business Analysis in Healthcare industry Program Management Strong Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Agile SCRUM Software lifecycle Experience: • Cloud Based Software • Software Development life cycle • Strong Data Analytics, Data Integration • Production Support Education: Bachelor’s Degree Additional Job Requirements: Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time Be adaptive and change priorities quickly; meet deadlines Attention to detail Operate computer programs and software Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats. Day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or the public) Making independent decisions Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions Working Conditions: Remote Travel Requirements: Travel 1-20% within the US Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $90,000 - $150,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
