Full Description

An established firm is adding a Transaction Advisory Services Manager to its growing team. With more than 105 years of independent, client-focused service in the Chicagoland area, the organization has grown organically, without mergers or acquisitions. Responsibilities: • Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, including financial due diligence for middle-market companies, with typical deal sizes ranging from $25–$100 million. • Manage all aspects of engagements, including analysis and discussion of EBITDA adjustments, historical and projected financial trends, and key performance ratios. • Analyze financial statement information (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and related reports) and provide insights in support of valuation and deal structuring alternatives. • Review and ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of all workpapers and due diligence reports. • Mentor and guide staff and senior team members during engagements, supporting their technical development and long-term career growth. • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with business owners, key decision-makers, and accounting teams, while gaining a holistic understanding of client operations. • Identify opportunities to expand services and deepen client relationships. • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, including special projects and other agreed-upon procedures. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting. • CPA license preferred. • Six or more years of experience in quality of earnings, attestation, and audit engagements within a consulting or advisory environment. • Prior experience supervising and mentoring staff at the manager level. • Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and Uniform Guidance. • Strong commitment to client service with an entrepreneurial mindset. • Reliable transportation with the ability to travel to client and office locations as needed. • Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented approach.
