The Preiss Company is an Equal Opportunity and LGBTQ+ friendly Employer. ​ Property Name: Corporate Office Primary Responsibilities: • Assist with the launch and build-out of Preiss’ business intelligence platform, including identification of and connection to relevant data sources, and conversion of legacy spreadsheet-based reports. • Develop new internal KPIs in the platform that align with legacy spreadsheet-based reporting • Identify and build data visualizations and other reporting tools to support our various departments, including but not limited to property management, information technology, marketing, accounting, acquisitions, development, construction, and human resources. • Provide analysis and data-based recommendations to stakeholders as needed • Identify novel use cases for company data and/or improvements to the data collection methods • Additionally, you may be asked to help support our legacy employee-facing spreadsheet-based reports throughout the business intelligence implementation. Minimum Qualifications & Experience: • Must be detail oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills. • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, providing and adapting to regular feedback and using initiative to ensure optimal results. • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box when solving complex data challenges. • Strong time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Experience working with SQL, Snowflake or similar database schema and software, including queries. • Experience with analysis and interpretation of complex data. • Must be proficient in spreadsheet software, including Excel and Google Sheets, as well as an in-depth knowledge of common formulas, data validation, conditional formatting, named ranges, and sheet protection. Preferred Qualifications: • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including experience working efficiently with datasets, e.g., pivot tables and advanced modeling skills. • Experience with reading from/writing to API endpoints. • Experience with other coding language(s); JavaScript and Python are a plus. • Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Domo. • Familiarity with low-code software platforms. • Proven end-to-end data project (scoping to results) with reproducible code and a short readme or case study. • Certifications in any relevant software. • Familiarity with the property management industry. Education: • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a field related to data analysis • 1 year related work or education experience Job Status: • Full-time, hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days in-office (Raleigh NC) and 2 days remote.
