As the Lead Overnight Doorman/Ambassador at The Electra, you’ll ensure exceptional service, safety, and professionalism during the overnight hours. You’ll not only represent the face of one of San Diego’s premier residential communities—you’ll also lead by example, supporting your team and ensuring smooth overnight operations. Position Overview The Lead Overnight Doorman/Ambassador plays a crucial role in maintaining the building’s high standards of hospitality, security, and service during overnight hours. You’ll manage the overnight guest services, support concierge operations, handle safety-related issues, and serve as the point person for any overnight incidents or needs. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight Oversee and support any overnight staff (concierge, valet, or security as applicable). Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, guests, vendors, and emergency responders overnight. Ensure completion of nightly tasks, reports, and logs. Communicate important overnight events or concerns to management and day staff for proper follow-up. Guest and Resident Interaction Warmly greet residents and guests, offering a calm and professional presence at night. Assist with directions, building access, and visitor management per security protocols. Escort or monitor visitors as needed, respecting privacy and safety standards. Security and Safety Monitor property access points to ensure security at all times. Respond to and report suspicious activity, maintenance issues, or emergencies. Follow emergency protocols for fire alarms, medical incidents, or law enforcement interactions. Perform routine walkthroughs of common areas to check for hazards or cleanliness issues. Operational Support Maintain overnight logs of visitors, deliveries, incidents, and service requests. Support guest parking processes via Parkade App and BuildingLink. Assist with resident move-ins/outs or after-hours vendor coordination when required. Reset and prepare lobby/common areas for morning traffic. Why Choose Preferred Valet at The Electra? Qualifications Experience 1–2 years in luxury hospitality, concierge, residential guest services, or security. Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred, especially during overnight shifts. Familiarity with building safety and security protocols. Tech-savvy; able to use guest management software, BuildingLink, Parkade, and basic email tools. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally (e.g., packages or luggage). Other Requirements Availability Friday through Tuesday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Reliable transportation and punctuality required.
