Summer Accounting and Finance Intern (Real Estate and TenEx) Location: Berwyn, PA (Onsite - 5 days in-office) Company: Preferred Investments (preferred.com) Internship Term: Summer 2026 (May-August, flexible) Compensation: Paid Internship About Preferred Investments Preferred Investments is a private equity firm primarily focused on commercial and industrial real estate. In addition to our real estate portfolio, we own and support TenEx Technologies, a chemical company operating within a specialized industrial sector (tenextechnologies.com). We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support our accounting and finance team across both our real estate entities and TenEx. Position Summary The Summer Accounting and Finance Intern will assist with financial reporting, month-end close support, and recurring analysis across multiple entities. This role offers hands-on exposure to private equity-backed real estate operations, financial planning and analysis, and transaction support. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in accounting, finance, real estate, or private equity who wants meaningful experience in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Assist with month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting support • Support budget vs. actual analysis and tracking of key financial metrics • Help prepare weekly cash flow reporting across multiple entities • Assist with financial models related to real estate acquisitions and transactions • Support tracking and preparation of loan draws for construction and development projects • Help improve reporting processes and maintain organized financial documentation Qualifications • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Interest in real estate, private equity, or corporate finance • Self-starter with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn What We Are Looking For We are looking for a driven student who is eager to learn, wants real responsibility, and is excited to contribute to a growing business.
