The Product Management Department: Product defines overall product strategy and the roadmap—which consists of product initiatives and customer experiences that will deliver the greatest impact per dollar invested. We work with business leaders, engineering, marketing and other partners throughout PracticeTek to define and successfully execute product plans. We ensure high product-market efficiency—getting every bit of market credit for our team’s excellent work. The Career Opportunity: We’re looking for a Product Owner to play a critical role in the execution of our product development process. In this position, you’ll work closely with cross-functional partners—including engineering, design, QA, and go-to-market stakeholders—to translate business and user needs into clear, actionable product work. This role is ideal for a strong, experienced Product Owner who thrives in agile environments, excels at backlog management and delivery, and enjoys turning complex problems into high-quality solutions. You’ll be trusted to own meaningful product areas, manage competing priorities, and help ensure the team consistently delivers value. The position is remote. Areas of Accountability The Product Owner is responsible for the following outcomes: Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, QA, and other internal teams to deliver solutions that meet defined requirements, timelines, and KPIs Drive day-to-day product development execution by creating and maintaining Agile artifacts (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria) and actively participating in all Agile ceremonies Collaborate closely with engineering to clarify scope, ensure shared understanding, and support predictable delivery Execute within established product strategy while providing input and recommendations on prioritization and sequencing Own and prioritize a product backlog, using data, customer insights, and business context to maximize delivered value Break down complex features into well-scoped, testable user stories and support the team through successful implementation Adapt execution plans as needed and help the team respond effectively to changing requirements or new information Competencies for Success 3–6 years of experience in Product Management or Product Ownership, with demonstrated ownership of backlog execution and feature delivery in a SaaS environment Proven experience delivering customer-facing software products; experience in healthcare, wellness, or other regulated industries is a plus Strong ability to translate business goals and customer needs into clear, actionable product requirements Solid command of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), including backlog management, story writing, acceptance criteria, and sprint execution Experience partnering closely with engineering, design, and QA teams in an iterative delivery model Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining clarity, focus, and delivery momentum Hands-on experience with modern product tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar platforms Strong communication and facilitation skills for backlog refinement, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder reviews At PracticeTek we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $115,000 - $130,000 for this position. We also believe in taking care of our people.
