Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on quality and efficiency. The Schedule for this job is 3PM-7PM Monday-Friday Responsibilities • Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. • Maintain restrooms by ensuring they are clean, stocked, and sanitized. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed. • Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies. • Assist with custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings. • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. • Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned according to established standards. • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Experience • Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is a plus. • Experience in floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance is desirable. • Background in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance will be advantageous. • Porter experience is beneficial for those applying for this role.
