Own go-to-market strategies, craft technical narratives, lead product launches, and evangelize within AI communities.
5-8+ years in product marketing, technical fluency with data and APIs, strong content creation skills, experience in early-stage GTM, and community engagement.
About Poseidon Poseidon is building the data infrastructure the next generation of AI will depend on. Foundation models are not limited by compute. They are bottlenecked by rare, high-quality, IP-safe data that actually improves performance: the long-tail, edge-case, multi-modal datasets that cannot be scraped or synthetically generated. We are creating a decentralized data layer connecting AI companies with the datasets they need. Not just another marketplace. Poseidon is the infrastructure that makes scalable, compliant, demand-driven data sourcing possible. Backed by a16z, we are early, moving fast, and looking for mission-driven teammates to shape this category. As one of the first hires, you will define how our technology is positioned to the world, craft messaging frameworks, and build the foundation for product launches, storytelling, and ecosystem engagement. The Role We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own the go-to-market strategy for new products and features, turn complex technical concepts into compelling narratives, and package raw data or functionality into products that resonate with developers, researchers, and partners. This is a high-impact, hands-on role at the intersection of product, marketing, and community. You will work closely with engineering, product, and the founding team to accelerate adoption, help drive early contracts, and shape Poseidon’s marketing playbook from the ground up. What You Will Do Package technical products into compelling offerings: Turn raw datasets or technical features into productized narratives that feel tangible, exciting, and differentiated. Technical storytelling: Create collateral such as pitch decks, product pages, blog posts, launch papers, and case studies that can speak both to technical and non-technical audiences. Own product launch strategy: Lead launches for new products, features, and integrations, from research to messaging to distribution. Evangelize to AI communities: Build awareness and credibility through grassroots, open-source-style engagement. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Growth to ensure alignment between what we build and how we communicate it. Support revenue motion: Create marketing materials and positioning that accelerate bottoms-up adoption and early contract closures. Measure and iterate: Track KPIs, gather user feedback, and refine messaging and campaigns based on real-world impact. Shape Poseidon’s marketing foundation: Build the early marketing playbook, processes, and culture as one of the first PMMs. What We Are Looking For Experience: 5 to 8 plus years in product marketing, ideally B2B, AI, or open-source ecosystems. Early-stage PMM experience preferred. Technical fluency: Comfortable discussing data pipelines, APIs, or datasets in a way that can be quickly understood by engineers, researchers, and partners. Packaging and taste: Ability to take boring data or functionality and turn it into compelling, well-designed product narratives and assets. Storytelling and content creation: Strong writing, editorial, and design instincts for papers, decks, blogs, and visual marketing. Community and open-source mindset: Experience engaging technical or grassroots ecosystems. GTM execution: Experience launching products or features from zero, with measurable adoption or impact. Hands-on startup readiness: Thrives in fast-moving environments with minimal structure, able to wear multiple hats. Mission-driven: Belief in open, decentralized systems and empowering creators, developers, and users. Revenue awareness: Understands how marketing drives adoption, pipeline, and early contracts.
