Full Description

AI has put creation in every role’s hands. Engineers, marketers, finance teams and HR now build with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable and n8n, and every one of those sessions spawns its own agents, connectors and artifacts. Most security stacks were never built to see any of it, so security teams are left choosing between blocking AI and letting it run unsupervised. Pluto Security secures what people build with AI. Our AI Workspace Security Platform gives security teams visibility, contextual risk, governance and runtime policy enforcement across three layers: Tools: the AI tools people use, including coding agents, assistants, AI browsers and notetakers. Ecosystem: what those tools plug into, including MCP servers, agent skills, extensions, packages and models. Artifacts: what people build with them, including apps, agents, automations and workflows created outside formal engineering processes. Our goal is simple: let the CISO say yes to AI. Pluto was founded by a team from Unit 8200, Microsoft and Palo Alto Networks, with R&D in Tel Aviv, and has just come out of stealth. We’ve been part of accelerator programs with AWS, CrowdStrike and NVIDIA, and we work by a few simple principles: enable, don’t block; visibility over guesswork; security that takes action. About the Role You’ll be one of Pluto’s first Presales Engineers, reporting to our Founding Sales Engineer and working remotely from anywhere in the US. You’ll own the technical side of deals from first call to signature, and help build the presales function itself: the demo environments, POV playbooks and technical collateral the team after you will rely on. This is a hands-on role at an early-stage company, working closely with our AEs, partners, and the Product and R&D teams in Tel Aviv. What you’ll do: Partner with Account Executives on discovery to understand how a prospect’s teams use AI today, what their security stack looks like, and where the risk sits. Run tailored demos of the Pluto platform for security leaders, practitioners and IT teams. Scope, run and close proofs of value: define success criteria with the customer, integrate their existing security stack with Pluto, and present the results. Be the technical voice in the deal, handling architecture, deployment, data-handling and security questions, as well as RFIs and security questionnaires. Create customer-facing technical documentation, including integration and deployment guides, architecture overviews and competitive materials. Help build Pluto’s technical sales processes: POV methodology, demo standards, handoffs to Customer Success, and the tooling behind them. Support channel and technology partners with enablement, joint demos and technical deep dives. Bring field feedback to Product and R&D: what customers ask for, where we win and lose, and what competitors are showing. Represent Pluto at customer onsites, conferences and industry events. Requirements 5+ years in a customer-facing Sales Engineering or presales role at a cybersecurity vendor, with recent hands-on time in front of customers. Experience at an early-stage startup, and comfort building process and collateral where none exists yet. A track record of running technical evaluations and POVs in enterprise accounts, working alongside AEs to close them. Working knowledge of endpoint security, identity security, AppSec or AI security, including EDR, MDM and IdP platforms, and how they’re deployed and managed in large organizations. Comfort administering macOS, Windows and Linux endpoints, and enough scripting (Bash, PowerShell or Python) to troubleshoot a deployment yourself. Hands-on familiarity with AI coding agents and assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or Codex, and the concepts around them: MCP servers, agent skills, extensions and prompt injection. The ability to explain architecture, data flows and integration requirements clearly to both security engineers and executives. Strong writing skills: you can produce customer-facing technical content without heavy editing. You dig into technical details, close your own knowledge gaps quickly, and stay composed when a demo goes off script. Willingness to travel up to 25%. Nice to have: Experience in AI security, application security, or developer and supply-chain security. Knowledge of the AI security vendor market. Existing relationships with security channel partners or resellers. We offer a competitive total compensation package, including on-target earnings (OTE) of $225,000-$290,000 based on experience, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits. We’ll tailor the final package to the right candidate.
