We focus on long-term partnerships, acting as an in-house creative team for our clients. As we expand our media production team, we’re looking for a Videographer / Video Content Creator to help us deliver high-quality, fast-turnaround content. Position Overview This role focuses primarily on short-form, vertical video content (Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) with occasional long-form projects. You’ll collaborate with our creative team—photographers, designers, social media managers, and marketers—to plan, film, and edit engaging content that meets both client goals and platform demands. Most shoots range from 1–4 hours on-site at client locations around Nashville. The goal is to produce multiple polished, attention-grabbing reels from each session—balancing quality and speed. Key Responsibilities • Content Creation & Filming • Plan and visualize content before arriving on-site, including mood boards and shot lists. • Capture vertical-first video content optimized for social platforms. • Apply strong knowledge of camera fundamentals: lighting, exposure, ISO, frame rates, bit rates, focal lengths, etc. • Work efficiently on shoots to maximize usable footage in limited timeframes. • Editing & Post-Production • Edit fast-paced, detail-oriented short-form content where every frame counts. • Deliver clean, engaging videos with snappy pacing suited to today’s social media trends. • Maintain organized project files and follow scalable workflows. • Research & Trend Awareness • Stay current with social media trends, reels/tiktok formats, and viral video techniques. • Regularly research and pitch creative content ideas to the team. • Collaboration & Client Interaction • Work alongside other creatives and account managers, contributing to an efficient production process. • Represent Pliny Crane professionally during client-facing shoots and conversations. • Take feedback gracefully and translate it into actionable changes. Qualifications • Proven experience in videography and video content creation, especially for social-first short-form formats. • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. • Ability to balance quality with speed in both filming and editing. • Excellent communication skills (in person and digital). • Comfortable following and improving processes to support scaling production. • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro required; After Effects a plus). • Solid foundation in lighting, gaffing, and audio principles. Bonus Skills • Audio recording and editing experience. • Familiarity with Sony camera systems. • Experience collaborating directly with photographers. Compensation & Benefits • Flexible pay structure: Hourly (minimum 20 hours/week) or salaried (32–40 hours/week). • All employees are eligible for company-wide commission opportunities (though sales are not expected).
