As the largest ticketing provider in the GCC, we proudly serve an extensive array of events across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait from our Dubai-based headquarters. Key Responsibilities: Own ingestion and transformation of data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, event streams, webhooks etc.); Build and maintain datamarts, curated datasets and table-level logging so analysts and product teams can trust the data; Implement data quality controls: ensure data completeness, validity and lineage; implement monitoring and alerting for failures or anomalies; Collaborate closely with analysts, product and backend engineers to define data contracts and modeling standards; Drive improvements in how we store and serve data (data lake / warehouse architecture, partitioning, cost & performance optimizations). 3–5 years of hands-on data engineering experience building production-grade pipelines and data models in a cloud environment; Comfort working as the first data engineer, managing priorities, and owning outcomes end to end; Solid understanding of data quality practices and observability concepts (freshness, volume, schema drift, anomaly detection) and alerting; Familiarity with dbt or equivalent transformation frameworks; version control with Git and CI; Experience with an orchestration tool (Airflow, Cloud Composer, or similar) and event-driven jobs (e.g., Lambda or Cloud Functions); Strong SQL (analytical functions, windowing, CTEs, query optimization) and practical experience with BigQuery or similar columnar warehouses; Experience with workflow tools like n8n for quick integrations and automation would be a plus; Knowledge of cost-aware warehouse design in BigQuery (partitioning, clustering, materialized views, storage tiers) is a plus. A dynamic and inclusive work environment. The opportunity to work with a leading ticketing provider in GCC. A chance to contribute to the entertainment industry and help shape experiences for millions of users. Remote working format. Competitive salary.
