Develop and implement social media strategies, manage content and community engagement, plan and execute in-person and virtual events, coordinate with partners, and support marketing efforts.
3-5 years of social media and event coordination experience, proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling/design tools, strong communication and organizational skills, and a bachelor's degree preferred.
Title: Social Media and Events Manager Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement social media strategies and content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). • Manage content creation, posting schedules, community engagement, and performance analytics. • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and report on performance. • Stay on top of social media trends, new tools, and best practices to keep our approach fresh and competitive. • Create flyers and social content using Canva or similar tools. • Assist in drafting event invites, recaps, and social media posts. • Maintain a shared event and content calendar. • Plan, organize, and execute events (in-person and virtual), including trade shows, community outreach, networking events, and branded experiences. • Coordinate with external partners, speakers, or vendors when needed. • Capture and organize photos, videos, and content assets from events. • Provide general support to the Marketing Manager as needed. • Travel and attend Plateau sponsored events when applicable. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, Public Relations, or related field (preferred). • 3-5 years of experience in social media, event coordination, or marketing • Proven track record of social media platforms, analytics, and paid advertising. • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing successful events. • Strong written communication and organizational skills. • Proficiency with social media platforms, scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Buffer, or Hootsuite) and design tools (e.g., Canva) • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines. • Interest in conservation, Texas land stewardship, or rural communities is a plus.
