With more than 60 years of experience, Plastonics is a pioneer in the powder coating industry, specializing in plastic powder coating, fluid bed systems, and electrostatic spray technologies. The Quality Assurance Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining system effectiveness and driving quality excellence across the plant. Position Summary The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO requirements. This role ensures compliance with documented procedures, supports audits, manages corrective actions, and partners with production leadership to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, internal procedures, and customer specifications • Perform inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished products per documented quality plans • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final-piece approvals for all production jobs • Maintain accurate and complete quality records, inspection logs, and controlled documentation • Serve as the primary quality liaison between production teams, leadership, customers, and auditors • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, including preparation and follow-up activities • Identify non-conforming material and initiate, document, and track NCMRs and CARs • Analyze quality trends and recommend corrective and preventive actions • Exercise authority to stop production when product does not meet quality or ISO requirements • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations Production Release & Process Control • Verify work orders, process sheets, tooling, fixtures, masking, and material requirements prior to release • Ensure required setup, cleaning, and sieve request forms are completed and included with job travelers • Communicate discrepancies to the Production Manager and approve production release in accordance with QMS procedures Calibration & Measurement Control • Maintain and review the Master Measuring Device List in accordance with ISO requirements • Coordinate in-house and external calibration activities • Ensure measuring and monitoring equipment is calibrated, labeled, and removed from use prior to expiration Supplier & Customer Quality • Support supplier quality reviews and corrective actions as needed • Participate in supplier and customer visits to address quality issues and reduce inspection requirements • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements • Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices. • High school diploma or GED required • Minimum of 1 year of quality, inspection, or manufacturing experience (ISO-regulated environment preferred) • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management principles • Ability to read and interpret ISO standards, technical drawings, procedures, and work instructions • Strong documentation, organizational, and audit-preparation skills • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems • Solid understanding of basic math concepts (fractions, ratios, percentages) • Ability to use standard measuring and inspection equipment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Health insurance • Paid time off Application Question(s): • Do have a minimum of 1 year of quality, inspection, or manufacturing experience (ISO-regulated environment preferred) • Do you have the ability to read and interpret ISO standards, technical drawings, procedures, and work instructions?
