Direct Support Professional - Weekends (Part-time) Are you driven to serve and help others in your community? We are now hiring for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our DSPs are the Foundation of our organization and value the contribution that they make by providing care to the people we support. Flexible schedule with the ability to work at least 2 weekend shifts per month. Essential Responsibilities/Job Duties: This role is in the disability services field, providing support to individuals who need assistance with daily living due to an intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disability. • Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks. One client requires showering and brief changes. • Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment • Assisting with toileting • Reminding/assisting client with self-administration of medications (with proper training) • Encouraging self-help activities and fostering positive relationships • Reporting changes in client's condition to the office • Documenting services provided • Performing home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning • Planning meals, preparing and serving food/meals, and clean-up • Accompanying client to scheduled appointments, as needed • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • High school degree/GED required • 18 years of age or older • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel • Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time • Must maintain state regulatory certifications & training, as required by state/program requirements • Medication Administration as required by state/program requirements • Criminal history and background check License/Certification: · CPR & First Aid Valid Drivers License , Automobile and auto insurance Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 24 per week Benefits: • Flexible schedule • Paid time off Application Question(s): • Are you available to work Weekends?
