Full Description

As the Category manager you will oversee the product lifecycle for the Piping Rock assortment of 5000 unique products for our rapidly expanding direct to consumer division. You will manage products across our ecommerce and retail segments with direct influence on, product development, pricing, categorization, promotions, vendors and supply chain. Our Category Manager will have the agility to work independently and cross functionally with sales, marketing, broker partners, data providers, retail partners and senior executives. We are searching for an agile, curious, technically proficient superstar to join our team, is that you? Responsibilities: • Additional duties as assigned. • Understand the assortment and the performance of each category, which includes the competitive position to the category leaders and the new categories to develop all the way down to the end of the product lifecycle. • Be a driving force behind the creation of new items and analyzing the performance. • Work alongside internal teams such as sales, marketing and creative to deliver improved performance of product launches • Have an interest in the master data behind the products and ensure the accuracy along with an understanding of the product hierarchy. • Vendor Management is key as you will work with the sales team lead to introduce new products, manage existing products and negotiate fair pricing and promotional opportunities. • Focus primarily on the assortment and the opportunities to increase sales performance. • Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver digital content for email, promotions, SEM, SEO and on-site search. • Leverage category review process to provide insights across the organization. • Utilize broker resources to drive retail opportunities • Perform deep analysis within the assortment. Candidate must have advanced excel skills, duplication and transferability analytics, as well as consumer insights experience • Ability to forecast, compile, interpret, present and act upon analytical findings • Ability to navigate multiple platforms Qualifications: • Excellent Excel Skills • Excellent Power Point Skills • Deep syndicated data experience • Retail analytical mindset • 2+ years category management experience • A bachelor’s degree is preferred We proudly offer: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Company Match, Pet insurance and more!
