About the Job A leading renewable energy developer and operator is partnering with national commercial and industrial real estate clients to deliver portfolio-wide energy transition solutions. The company originates, designs, develops, finances, owns, and operates renewable energy assets—both stand-alone and integrated with energy efficiency technologies—to help partners achieve net-zero carbon goals. These assets include solar generation, battery storage, fuel cells, building controls, and other clean technologies that provide on-site or local generation, load control, and curtailment. The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing multiple aspects of renewable energy projects. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Project Management, this leadership position requires a professional experienced in construction management, engineering, procurement, and vendor relations within the clean energy sector. The Project Manager will drive project execution through effective leadership, cross-functional collaboration (finance, development, construction, and asset management), and engagement with external stakeholders (EPCs, suppliers, OEMs, and contractors). The position is open to remote applicants within the United States, with a preference for candidates based in Colorado . Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain strong relationships with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms and suppliers in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors. • Utilize market data to negotiate favorable pricing and terms with vendors and service providers. • Support completion of preliminary engineering specifications for construction and supply contracts. • Review and approve vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance. • Assist the Finance team with due diligence, site visits, and project economic assessments. • Prepare EPC agreements and related documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual standards. • Lead technical and commercial negotiations with contractors to achieve high-quality, cost-effective project outcomes. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contracts meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices. • Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies. • Develop project budgets, forecasts, and cost-control initiatives in coordination with finance and execution teams. • Maintain organized records of all contracts, amendments, and related communications. • Promote and enforce safety standards at job sites. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project management processes. • Travel to project sites as needed (up to 50%). Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field (Master’s preferred). • 4–8 years of project management experience in commercial and rooftop solar required. • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, standards, and practices for C&I projects. • Experience drafting, negotiating, and managing EPC contracts and related exhibits. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. • Solid negotiation and communication skills, with experience managing technical and commercial discussions. • Established relationships within the renewable energy market (preferred). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. • Proficiency in Procore, ERP systems, procurement tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Benefits • Competitive compensation with bonus eligibility • Comprehensive benefits package including vacation, holidays, and sick time • 401(k) plan Diversity & Inclusion This employer is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other legally protected category. Accommodations for applicants with disabilities are available upon request.
