The Role We are seeking an experienced Manager, Project Controls to lead project controls activities for a portfolio of renewable energy projects as they advance from late-stage development into construction. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of project schedules, budgets, and performance tracking while driving accountability across internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple, concurrent projects. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the project controls lead, managing cost, schedule, risk, and performance data for multiple utility-scale renewable projects. • Partner closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to anticipate needs and align project controls with portfolio objectives. • Develop and maintain detailed reports including schedules, budgets, forecasts, accruals, and KPIs to support executive decision-making. • Oversee enterprise systems for data management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and document control. • Conduct risk and variance analysis, providing clear insights and recommended mitigation strategies. • Manage and update project schedules using critical path methodology and ensure cost forecasts are accurate and timely. • Build and enhance tools, dashboards, and trackers to deliver actionable reporting for senior leadership. • Proactively identify issues, troubleshoot root causes, and coordinate with stakeholders to implement solutions. Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in project controls, planning, scheduling, cost management, or estimating, ideally in renewable energy, power generation, or large-scale infrastructure. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Project Management, or related field; PMP certification strongly preferred. • Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, Procore, MS Project, Salesforce, etc.). • Strong data analysis and reporting skills with advanced Excel proficiency. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, balance priorities, and communicate complex information clearly. • A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset.
