Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Junior Java Developer to support a federal client through a fully remote opportunity. This role is ideal for developers with foundational experience in Java and web technologies who are eager to grow their skills in a collaborative, Agile environment. Responsibilities: • Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications using Java and Spring Boot. • Support front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React. • Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions. • Write clean, testable code and contribute to unit and integration testing efforts. • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and reviews. • Learn and apply best practices in software development, security, and performance optimization. Required Qualifications: • 1-3 years of experience in Java development (academic or professional). • Familiarity with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and web services. • Exposure to front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks. • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). • Experience using Git or other version control systems. • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn. • Ability to work in a team-oriented, Agile environment. • Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. government Secret clearance.
