Full Description

Client: Our client is the single-family office for an entrepreneur in Seattle. The firm is responsible for managing a diversified portfolio of assets for the family and their foundation. The office invests across a range of assets, including fixed income, public equities, private equity, and real estate, with a primary focus on private equity fund investing. Position: They are currently seeking an Analyst or Associate to join their small team. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, with strong quantitative, organizational, and communication skills. This individual will be an integral part of the team and have an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the evolving investment strategy and financial operations of the company. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to work in a small team and gain experience and exposure to multiple asset classes and the role of an allocator. Responsibilities: • Monthly reconciling of investment assets, including preparation and audit of performance reports • Assist with private fund capital activity reporting • Assist with the cash management of portfolios, including cash forecasting and liquidity management, securely processing investment, and reporting on all significant cash activity • Manage and monitor investment transactions (primarily capital calls and distributions) • Maintain files, documents and contacts for existing and potential managers, including aiding in the implementation of a CRM system • Seasonally support collection of annual tax information from managers and annually calculate after tax performance of all investments • Assist with the oversight of all aspects of the existing portfolio • Research and perform due diligence on new managers, investment ideas, and investment opportunities • Complete subscription documents and onboard new managers • Provide ad hoc financial and analytical support for investment, business, and personal projects • Assist with implementation of a new GL system and assist with the accounting function Qualifications: • 1-5 years of experience in a related industry • Undergraduate degree required, with strong academic performance • CFA, CFP or CPA designation, or progress towards a plus • Knowledge of capital markets, including private equity and venture capital • Strong quantitative and analytical skills • Experience with Addepar and DealCloud a plus • Keen attention to detail and an inquisitive mind • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a part of a small team • Can-do attitude and the ability and desire to continuously learn and grow
