Full Description

We are seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to join our organization on a contract-to-hire basis to lead the successful implementation and adoption of Epicor Kinetic within a highly regulated Aerospace & Defense (A&D) manufacturing environment. This role goes beyond traditional project management. The ideal candidate is a change leader who has guided organizations through multiple ERP implementations end-to-end, with at least one full Epicor Kinetic implementation in A&D. Following the initial implementation phases, this individual is expected to transition into a permanent leadership role, owning user adoption, post-go-live stabilization, future phases, and the Epicor Kinetic continual improvement roadmap. Key Responsibilities: ERP Program & Delivery Leadership • Serve as the “client-side ERP PM” leading the day-to-day Epicor Kinetic implementation lifecycle from detailed planning through go-live, stabilization, and subsequent phases. • Operate as the PMO representative to the client, supporting PMO activities, status reporting, and executing the implementation playbook. • Own the integrated project plan across ERP, data migration, integrations, reporting, and compliance-related workstreams. • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal IT/operations teams. • Proactively manage scope, timeline, risks, dependencies, and change control. Change Leadership & User Adoption • Drive organizational change management across operations, supply chain, quality, finance, and engineering. • Lead user readiness activities including: • Role-based training strategy • Super-user development • Communication planning • Adoption metrics and feedback loops • Ensure Epicor Kinetic is not only implemented but effectively used across the organization. A&D Compliance & Operational Readiness • Partner with Quality, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure ERP processes support: • A&D traceability requirements • Controlled data (e.g., CUI) • Audit readiness and evidence capture • Ensure compliance considerations are embedded into day-to-day workflows, not treated as afterthoughts. Post-Go-Live Ownership & Continuous Improvement • Transition from implementation leadership to long-term platform ownership. • Establish and lead the Epicor Kinetic continuous improvement program, including: • Enhancement backlog prioritization • Release planning • Optimization of workflows and reporting • Serve as the internal Epicor SME and program owner post-hire. Required Qualifications • 7+ years of ERP project or program management experience. • Multiple end-to-end ERP implementations as a Project Manager. • At least one Epicor Kinetic implementation in an Aerospace & Defense manufacturing environment. • Demonstrated success leading ERP-driven change management and user adoption. • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including supply chain, production, quality, and finance. • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional stakeholder groups. • Experience working with external implementation partners and consulting teams. Preferred Qualifications • Background in management consulting or digital transformation consulting, with experience leading ERP or enterprise transformation programs from discovery through execution. • Experience transitioning ERP programs from implementation into steady-state governance and optimization. • Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments and audit-driven operating models. • Experience supporting governance structures, steering committees, and cadence-based reporting. • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical and process concepts into business outcomes. Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. • Advanced degrees and project/change management certifications (PMP, Prosci, etc.) are preferred but not required. • Highly Desirable Certifications: • Epicor Kinetic implementation or functional certifications • AS9100, A&D quality, or regulated manufacturing certifications • Prosci / ADKAR or equivalent change management certification • PMP, SAFe, or equivalent project management certification
