We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Director of Information Technology to join our leadership team. As the single-threaded leader for all technology, you will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and management of our entire IT department, including infrastructure, business applications, and security. This role is a critical, high-impact role. You will ensure our technology is reliable, secure, and scalable to support our lifesaving 24/7 services and company growth. You will collaborate directly with key business stakeholders in Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to align technology initiatives with company objectives. Just as importantly, you will build, mentor, and strengthen our IT team, fostering a culture of service and excellence to support our company's projects and mission. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy and technology roadmap that aligns with short-term and long-term business goals. • Serve as the primary technology advisor to the senior leadership team, translating complex technical concepts into clear business solutions. • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional customer service. Application Management • Oversee the management, optimization, and integration of all core business applications to ensure seamless operations. • Serve as the primary internal expert and owner for our key platforms: Odoo (ERP) and Five9 (Contact Center software). • Manage the full lifecycle of business applications from selection and implementation through ongoing support, user training, and decommissioning. IT Operations & Infrastructure • Ensure the 24/7/365 reliability, security, and performance of all IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services (Azure/AWS), and user endpoints. • Manage the current MSP and IT help desk services to provide exceptional and timely technical support to all internal employees. • Implement and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Security, Governance & Compliance • Develop, implement, and enforce all IT policies, procedures, and best practices. • Lead all aspects of IT security and risk management, protecting sensitive company and customer data against all threats. • Ensure all technology practices are fully compliant with relevant regulations, with a strong focus on HIPAA and CCPA. Vendor & Budget Management • Manage relationships, contracts, and performance of all third-party technology vendors and service providers to ensure maximum value and service. • Develop and manage the annual IT department budget, making cost-effective and strategic technology investments. Qualifications & Experience Required • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience. • 7+ years of progressively responsible IT experience, including at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role. • Hands-on administrative experience owning and managing Odoo (ERP) platforms • Demonstrated ability to build and support high-performing IT teams, including help desk and systems administration. • Strong technical foundation across infrastructure, networking, cloud services (Azure/AWS), and enterprise security. • Experience implementing IT security policies, access controls, and disaster recovery/business continuity processes. • Familiarity with regulated environments and applicable compliance requirements (ex. HIPAA, CCPA). • Strong vendor management and budgeting skills, including contract evaluation and service oversight. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into clear business terms. Preferred • Experience supporting 24/7 or high-availability operations. • Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, ITIL, or Odoo Administrator. • Experience in healthcare technology, medical device, or emergency/life-safety service environments.
