As a Financial Analyst on the Pinion Risk Management team, you’ll play a critical role in helping dairy farms thrive. What You’ll Be Doing • Analyze and Interpret Data: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to support decision-making and growth initiatives for dairy clients. • Deliver Accurate Reporting: Prepare financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, budgets, benchmarking) and provide actionable insights. • Collaborate for Impact: Work closely with team members to identify process improvements and enhance efficiency. • Support Growth: Provide timely analytics to drive regional and national expansion strategies. • Adapt and Innovate: Learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies to strengthen analytical capabilities. • Engage with Clients: Participate in on-site visits to dairy farms up to twice a week, with limited overnight travel. What You’ll Need for This Position • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Agribusiness, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions. Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software. Experience with farm and production management software (e.g., DairyComp, FeedWatch) is a plus. • Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking. • Agriculture Interest: Demonstrated interest in agriculture, with preference for experience in ag and/or dairy operations. • Professional Attributes: High integrity, ability to maintain confidentiality, and excellent communication skills for presenting findings. • Digital Fluency: Comfortable leveraging technology for data analysis and reporting. • Mindset: Self-motivated, curious, and adaptable in a dynamic environment. • Flexibility: Ability and willingness to do day travel to rural locations, including dairy farms. Limited overnight travel. Valid driver’s license.
