Position Summary: The IT Infrastructure Engineer position is responsible for designing, building, deploying, securing, and maintaining the organization’s digital network, handling hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software to ensure reliable, efficient connectivity, performance, and security, involving troubleshooting, upgrades, monitoring, and collaboration with other IT teams to align with business goals. Key Functions: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure IaaS environments, including virtual machines, storage, virtual networks, and hybrid connectivity solutions. Administer and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter) to ensure high availability, performance, and effective capacity planning. Implement and monitor enterprise backup solutions using Arcserve/Veritas Backup Exec, managing policies across physical, virtual, and cloud workloads to meet RPO/RTO requirements. Lead backup verification, restoration, and disaster recovery testing to ensure data integrity and organizational resilience. Install, patch, and update server-based applications and operating systems while collaborating with security teams to enforce infrastructure data protection best practices. Perform root cause analysis on complex infrastructure and backup failures, implement long-term fixes and document operational runbooks. Manage infrastructure, network, and server projects from inception to completion, analyzing results against established goals to ensure successful delivery. Develop and maintain comprehensive standards, procedures, and system configuration documentation for all new and existing infrastructure technology. Guide and mentor junior infrastructure team members, serving as a senior technical resource and ensuring effective cross-training on hardware and software systems. Provide essential backup support for Check Point/Harmony security solutions, including managing firewall rules, VPNs, and threat prevention policies. Act as a technical backup for Azure, Security, and DevOps Engineers to maintain continuous operational coverage for on-premises and cloud workloads. Resolve escalated network-related issues and conduct scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize the end-user experience. Requirements / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience or job-related continuing education is highly desirable. 7+ years of experience in a progressive Information Technology role, including at least 5 years of dedicated experience as a Infrastructure/Network Engineer. Extensive technical knowledge of current network and internet protocols, standards, and hardware configurations. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and logical thinking to resolve complex cloud, hardware, and software issues. Advanced experience with core end-user applications, including Microsoft operating systems and the Office suite. Solid understanding of applicable data privacy laws, compliance regulations, and industry best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into non-technical language for diverse stakeholders. Ability to conduct independent research into emerging products and system issues to drive continuous improvement. Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented professional, capable of prioritizing and executing multiple tasks within a fluid, fast-paced environment. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment that reflects core values of expertise and people-first service. The salary range for this position is $102,800 to $165,000. Starting salary is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for an annual company bonus at an incentive target level of 10%.
