Manage all phases of HVAC construction projects including scheduling, contract administration, field supervision, and compliance.
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of HVAC project management experience, knowledge of public bidding, contract procedures, HVAC design and plans, and OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented HVAC Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale mechanical projects in government and educational facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, project scheduling, and contract administration, with a proven ability to identify and resolve ambiguities in plans and specifications. Key Responsibilities • Manage and oversee all phases of HVAC construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify missing details, ambiguities, or code compliance issues. • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other primes to resolve field conflicts. • Prepare change orders for approval, ensuring fair compensation for scope changes, errors, and omissions. • Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower planning, and sequencing of work to minimize delays. • Document and submit claims for additional time and compensation due to delays outside contractor control. • Ensure compliance with NYS Education Department and professional licensing requirements. • Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain project quality and safety standards. • Maintain clear communication with clients, construction managers, and inspectors. • Prepare progress reports, requisitions, and cost tracking documentation. Pay Negotiable based on Experience.
