WHY PATIENTS NEED YOU The Sales Enablement Lead for IM will be responsible for driving the strategy, processes, and systems to maximize the IM sales team’s capabilities in alignment with Pfizer’s Purpose Blueprint and Bold Moves. This individual will work collaboratively across Internal Medicine and partners (Pfizer Business Units, Platform Functions, External Co-Promote, etc.), to continuously improve the effectiveness of our field sales organization by identifying and prioritizing those capabilities needed to lead the industry. WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE This role will proactively identify issues that could impact business goals and identify solutions to ensure the team can maximize both our ability to bring Breakthroughs that Change Patients’ Lives and in turn grow our business both today and into the future. HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT Lead and manage critical projects to advance sales organizational effectiveness in line with Pfizer’s Purpose Blueprint and Bold Moves, i.e. Unleashing the Power of our People and Transforming our Go To Market Model. Partner with Sales Leadership, HR, GCO, IM Commercial Effectiveness, and other functions to develop ongoing field and management development programs for a best in class sales organization. Continuously monitor and evaluate success metrics across marketing teams and SLAs, ensuring goals are exceeded and Partner of Choice capabilities are enhanced. Collaborate with US Marketing teams to create and execute capability development programs tailored for in-line and launch brand strategy. Partner with KAM Organization to continually and compliantly build Pfizer and US Sales. Integrated Account Team and health system engagement capabilities and approaches. Monitor, evaluate, prioritize external market drivers that warrant incorporation and strategic and programmatic response. Partner with Sales Commercial Excellence colleagues to ensure consistency in operational execution across the broader US Sales and Accounts organization. QUALIFICATIONS Must-Have BA/BS with 6+ years of experience, MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience. Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact. Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA (or similar advanced degree) considered a plus 8 or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Demonstrated understanding of the pharmaceutical sales operational environment and the evolving customer and healthcare landscape. Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple teams / functions at Pfizer, both field and HQ-based with proven matrix management experience and capabilities. Highly effective at utilizing current sales force technology platforms. Strong reporting and analytical capabilities to derive insights from sales data. Strong understanding of the healthcare and customer landscape. Strong communication (written and verbal), influencing, negotiating, listening and interpersonal skills to effectively develop / maintain productive internal and external relationships. Effectively communicates with colleagues at all levels and across multiple functions (including senior leaders in the organization) with ability to influence the outcome of interactions. Strong internal networking skills to solicit information and integrate industry best practices to the organization. Nice-to-Have Demonstrated success in sales leadership (second-level leader experience preferred). Marketing or Strategy experience preferred. Travel Requirements Location: Virtual but NYHQ up to 2-3 days every other week plus various IM meetings. Anticipated travel: 25%-30% Where available, integrity-related PLI and Pulse data, and disciplinary history, if any, will be considered as part of the hiring process for applicants who proceed to final rounds of interviews.
