How You Will Achieve It Set objectives for and manage multiple projects within the division. Work with Commercial Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to aggressively prioritize needs and manage demands of the Sales and Health System teams. Manage all end-to-end processes, services, governance and strategies for all global/above-market Customer Engagement Program (CEPs) to ensure that programs are planned, executed, inventoried in compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensure process controls are in place to ensure proper reporting from these programs. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of CEP, CIT and Social Listening policies and procedures. Partner with all, Commercial Enablement Leads and others to ensure that CEPs follow proper policy for safety reporting and build and sustain strong collaborative working relationships. Partner cross-functionally with enabling internal functions and networks, while also partnering externally, as needed, to deliver insights and initiative to evolve the CFC and HSD approach and results. Develop and maintain relationships with key training stakeholders across the global Pfizer community (e.g. approvers, content providers). Ensure delivery of quality service within compliance, lead and implement continuous improvement strategies and programs. Role Summary The Director of Sales, Commercial Excellence is a key member of the US Hospital Sales & Health System Leadership Team, responsible for driving strategic initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness and operational excellence. This role serves as the primary liaison between Sales and cross-functional partners, including Portfolio, GCET, Trade, Marketing Communications, Account Management, Customer Service, Strategy, and Global Commercial Operations, to ensure alignment and execution of critical projects. The position focuses on sales enablement, field engagement, and strategic coordination, supporting initiatives such as selling skills development, virtual platform optimization, tool creation, launch readiness, and performance dashboards. The Director will champion collaboration across teams, ensuring timely communication, compliance, and execution of go-to-market strategies while monitoring metrics to maximize field impact. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Project Performance Lead Cross-Commercial Group Strategy Development and Implementation working in close partnership with Sales and Health System Lead and platform partners to develop and implement broad based strategies that are applicable to all or most of the commercial groups. Accountable for ensuring business critical projects and initiatives are followed through on by tracking progress against timelines and ensures key milestones are being met. Commercial Excellence Supports by organizing all portfolio priorities, including Incentive Compensation (IC), POA meetings, Training, Compliance, and Digital Sales liaison for all Captains, Fast Start, POA/National Meetings with Hospital Portfolio teams, GCO, meeting planning group, and NA leadership team to determine agenda and pull-through. Liaise with Legal, Compliance and Governance on processes and issues related to pull-through initiatives with all targeted customers, GPO’s and channel distributions Matrix Leadership Across Commercial Groups (within Hospital & Biosimilars and other Sales BU’s) Coordinate alignment and discussion of cross commercial group communications for entire Commercial Sales team within the US Hospital & Biosimilars Business Unit Leads and facilitates updates on project plans to senior leaders in Sales, Portfolio, GCET, Marcom, Trade, HSDs, etc. Proactively seeks beyond cross-functional team on the evolving healthcare landscape to ensure continued relevance and impact in the Hospital & Biosimilars Business Unit marketplace. Partnering with members of the leadership team, Portfolio and cross-functional partners Participation in Cross BU Commercial Excellence Team. (e.g. Competencies, Veeva evolution, etc. that impact all BUs across the enterprise) Field Force Development and Engagement Identify, innovate, implement and sustain culture initiatives and capabilities development in partnership with Sales leadership, GCO, GCET, PX, e.g. Supports training and on-boarding of new Area Business Managers as it relates to local coordination, communication and pull-through on account projects with the cross-functional account team. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree required Position requires at least 10 years of experience in US pharmaceutical sales and/or portfolio (or like functions), with demonstrated success working collaboratively across different parts of the organization. 5 years of experience in multi-tasking day to day field sales demands, performance trends, and facilitating organizational strategy strongly preferred. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required. Demonstrated ability to navigate across Pfizer to achieve BU objectives. Proactive self-starter with comfort working autonomously. Strong project and program management skills, including change leadership. Must have proven ability to manage complex situations in a matrix organizational structure through the participation in or leadership of cross-functional teams, together with strong team membership skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to lead through influence. Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent follow-through and highly communicative style required. Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking abilities. Comfortable working with Senior Leaders; competence in developing senior leadership presentations. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
