Role and Responsibilities: As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk within our Distribution Center (Pick & Pack), you play a critical role in ensuring that orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. Your efforts directly support daily operational goals while maintaining PetSmart's high standards for service and quality. • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping to ensure timely delivery to customers. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for yourself and your teammates. • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily distribution and workflow targets. • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, organizing products, and reporting discrepancies to supervisors. • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain operational standards. • Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge of logistics processes. • Support sustainability initiatives by adhering to eco-friendly practices, such as waste reduction, recycling, and efficient use of resources. • Adapt to workflow changes and assist in other areas of the distribution center as needed to support team goals. Required Skills and Experience: • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment. • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors. • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in processing orders and handling inventory. • Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 70 lbs regularly. • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude. • Basic computer proficiency to track inventory, update logs, and communicate with the team. • Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes or assist in different areas as needed.
