Define and maintain solution architecture, guide development teams, create design documents, and ensure integration across multiple platforms.
Requires 10+ years IT experience with extensive mainframe integration skills, knowledge of legacy systems, retail industry expertise, and proficiency in specific integration technologies.
The Solution Architect is responsible for defining and maintaining the structure of the solution and ensuring it will meet all the requirements of the business requirement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Help the development team work together to jointly own the solution. Provide supervision and guidance to the development team. Is viewed as the subject matter expert in one or more applications or platforms Drives use of client's best practices across area Responsible for the creation of high-level designs, detail level designs, maintaining product roadmaps. Works across solutions requiring integration across multiple platforms and/or business areas Develop testing approach and build test cases to test core business functionality Defines and explains the impact of requirements on system components across multiple functional areas Develop Technical Design Document Documents system functionality Verifies Work Estimates QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training: B.S. in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience required. Related Experience: Extensive mainframe experience Minimum 10 years experience in general IT Minimum 10 years experience with developing mainframe integration solutions Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Understanding of Legacy Systems best practices Proven ability to analyze and understand existing processes and code Understand the needs of the organization and find solutions to help move the organization forward. Excellent planning and organizational skills Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments Strong knowledge of retail industry trends, challenges, and best practices Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, influence, and negotiation Proficiency in: o Integration work and Data manipulation in Snowflake o Data Integration from Tandem to External systems. o Familiarity with Blue Yonder SCPO (Demand Planning, Fulfillment, Inventory optimization) and WMS o IBM Mainframe technologies o Transportation Management Systems o Kafka o Mulesoft Familiarity with: MicrosoftOffice (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, MS PROJECT) Rate: $90-95/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract to hire position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
