To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Publishing Success Manager In this role, you will be responsible for a successful author relationship and book production, from manuscript submission to publication. They act as a link between the author and various departments (editing, design, distribution, marketing, etc.) and ensure the timely delivery of our services, compliance with the publication schedule and the satisfaction of our authors. They are able to coordinate and promote a wide variety of simultaneous book productions at the same time. Your proactive and solution-oriented way of working will help you with this. You will be trained and introduced by us, but you already have a solid basic knowledge of book production and project management. Main: · Book production: o Book production from manuscript to final product with the help of the SaaS platform as well as the support of pre-editors, layout specialists and designers. o Coordination with external service providers and ensuring on-time delivery as well as the quality of the final product · Project management: o Coordination between the different departments (editing, design, marketing & sales) to ensure compliance with quality standards and deadlines o Monitor project timelines and ensure authors' books flow efficiently through the publication pipeline. o Resolve issues that arise in the publishing process and resolve them quickly and effectively · Author relationship: o Main contact person and support for writers throughout the production process: o Regular and proactive communication about project progress o Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through efficient account management and solution finding Required Qualifications & Skills: · At least a degree (Bachelor of Arts) · At least 5 years of experience in the publishing industry, ideally in academic publishing, publishing, project management, or customer success · Impeccable German, very good English skills, French and Spanish are an advantage · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Demonstrable project management skills with a focus on scheduling · Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects at the same time, · Knowledge of the publishing process, including editing, typesetting & layout, sales and marketing · High commitment to quality · Ability to quickly identify problems and find effective solutions Desired qualifications & skills: · Production knowledge in the field of typesetting and layout · Confident handling of MS Office and Adobe, as well as understanding of the creation of sentence templates · Ability to create and document template specifications · Basic understanding of an XML-first workflow (tags and content) · High attention to sentence details and requirements for implementation Location: remote, CET time zone Full time If you are ready to thrive in a dynamic publishing environment, we invite you to apply.
