This role will serve as a partner to Retail Leadership, ensuring alignment between HR strategies and business objectives, while providing expert guidance on talent management, partner engagement, and organizational effectiveness. This role is critical to fostering a positive employee experience and driving performance in a fast-paced retail environment. Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with Market Directors and District Managers to align HR strategies with business goals. Advise senior store leadership on issues that pose escalated risk to the business by providing expert level HR guidance. Serve as a trusted advisor for partner issues, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and consistent manner. Support talent management and performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, and feedback. Collaborate on talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top retail talent. Educate field leaders and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and proactive intervention. Support change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication across retail teams. Partner with leaders to manage the people side of organizational changes, fostering engagement and alignment. Partner with cross-functional teams, including Payroll and Legal, to address operational needs. Proactively identify and participate in special projects focused on increased partner engagement, leadership development, and risk mitigation. Lead and mentor a team, ensuring effective support for field leadership and store partners. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a retail or field-based environment. Combination of experience and education may be considered. Ability to travel 25% of the time. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred. Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams. Familiarity with retail industry dynamics and challenges. Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide leaders. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
