LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ATTORNEY (NON-PARTNERSHIP TRACK) Must be based in one of the following locations: Washington, DC | Virginia | Maryland REMOTE Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm with a strong global presence, is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join its DC, Virginia, or Maryland office in a remote salaried, non-partnership track role. This position offers a reduced billable hour target and the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters for high-profile clients within a collaborative and supportive environment. Candidate Profile • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. • Active Bar Admission in the jurisdiction of the home office, in good standing. • DC baradmission is preferred. Candidates without DC Bar Admission will be considered on the condition that they will obtain admission within one year of employment. • 5+ years of substantive experience in employment litigation and counseling. • Litigation Expertise: Significant experience managing employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, negotiating with opposing counsel, and arguing motions in court. • Client Counseling: Strong background advising clients on employment law compliance, risk mitigation, internal policies, and workplace disputes. • Experience with traditional labor law and labor-management relations is a plus. • Soft Skills: Excellent research, writing, case management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to take initiative and independently manage cases and client relationships. Key Responsibilities • Handle a broad range of employment litigation matters, including discrimination, wage and hour, and wrongful termination claims. • Advise employers on personnel policies, workplace investigations, employee discipline, compliance issues, and litigation risk. • Represent clients before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitral forums. • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver well-rounded and strategic legal advice.
